The Lani is a large hammered open triangle brass hoop. The frame is the earring — an angular geometric shape where the void inside is as intentional as the metal surrounding it. The triangle reads clearly from across a room: bold, architectural, and not easily confused with anything else.
The surface is hammered by hand before casting, which means the light pattern across the brass shifts with every movement. No two pairs come out of the mold identically. The variation is the point.
The Lani is sand-cast using a process that has not changed in centuries. A mold is pressed by hand, molten brass is poured, and each piece emerges as its own object. The slight irregularities that result are not flaws — they are what artisan-made means when it means something.
After casting, a nano ceramic e-coat is applied to the brass. This is what makes the Lani a daily earring and not just an occasional one: the coating is tarnish-resistant, water-resistant, hypoallergenic, and nickel-free. Wear them in the rain, at the gym, through a full day, and put them away without a maintenance routine. The brass will not oxidize or leave a ring.
The Lani is solid recycled brass throughout — not plated, not filled. The weight is real. At this scale the earring sits close to the ear without pulling.
